Basketball Recap: Cody Dixon Key Part of a Team Effort in Knights Win

Power Center Academy's game on Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Saturday. They came out on top against the Byers Lions by a score of 56-44.

Power Center Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cody Dixon led the charge by going 8 of 17 on his way to 20 points and four steals. The matchup was Dixon's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Keyshun James, who went 6 for 10 en route to 14 points in addition to seven rebounds and three blocks.

Power Center Academy has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Byers, they moved to 10-11 with that loss, which also ended their five-game winning streak.

Power Center Academy will challenge Hamilton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Byers, they will host Falkner at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
