Preview: River Rouge Panthers vs. Anderson Titans
The River Rouge Panthers will head out on the road to face off against the Anderson Titans at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a four-game winning streak alive.
Last Friday, River Rouge got themselves on the board against Center Line, but Center Line never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 48-0 victory over the Panthers on the road. Given River Rouge's advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan football rankings (they are ranked 74th, while Center Line is ranked 446th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Anderson stacked a fourth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Roosevelt 56-7 at home.
Anderson's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Chase Barbosa, who rushed for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Steel sage, who threw for 121 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
River Rouge now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Anderson, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-2.
