Basketball Recap: Rowlett Find Success

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Rowlett ultimately got the result they hoped for on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Garland Owls 34-31. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Owls, too.

When it comes to explaining why Garland lost, don't look at Mahedia Koko. Despite the final result, she almost dropped a double-double on 12 points and nine rebounds. The dominant performance gave Koko a new career-high in rebounds.

Rowlett has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 5-11 record this season. As for Garland, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Wylie the next time they take the court. Rowlett will head out to face Wylie at 5:30 p.m. on Friday, while Garland will host them at 6:00 p.m. on December 17th.
