De La Salle made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Academy of Our Lady, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Cavalier were the clear victors by an 11-2 margin over the Penguins on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Cavalier, who have now won ten games by eight runs or more so far this season.

De La Salle moved to 11-12 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak. As for Academy of Our Lady, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost ten of their last 11 contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.

De La Salle didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 12-2 loss against Covington on the 15th. As for Academy of Our Lady, they will square off against Tara at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
