After only two runs in their last matchup, Mount Union made sure to put some runs up on the board against Chestnut Ridge on Friday. The Mount Union Trojans were the clear victor by a 13-2 margin over the Chestnut Ridge Lions.

Mount Union got a great performance from Davin Yocum as he didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Jamon Ranck was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Landon Chrisemer, who scored two runs while going 2-for-2.

On Chestnut Ridge's side, they saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Nate Whysong, who went 1-for-2 with a triple and a run.

The win got Mount Union back to even at 1-1.

Mount Union will be playing at home against Northern Bedford County at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Chestnut Ridge, they will head out on the road to square off against Bishop McCort at 4:30 p.m. on Monday.
