Softball Recap: Seminole Seminoles vs. East Lake Eagles
Seminole had lost three straight at home, but on Thursday they dropped down to 12-8 to make it four. They lost 12-1 to the East Lake Eagles. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Seminoles have suffered since March 4th.
As for East Lake, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 17-3. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won 12 matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.
For East Lake's part, Lucy Mondok was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over seven innings pitched. Looking ahead, Seminole will face off against Hollins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Royals have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed seven runs per game on average), something the Seminoles will no doubt try to take advantage of.
