Basketball Recap: Reedsville Takes a Loss

Reedsville lost against Oostburg back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Reedsville Panthers took a blow against the Oostburg Flying Dutchmen, falling 72-32. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 306th, while the Flying Dutchmen are ranked tenth).

Reedsville's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-12. As for Oostburg, the victory (which was their 15th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Reedsville Panthers face off against the Howards Grove Tigers at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Oostburg, they will venture away from home to face off against Kohler at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Oostburg knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past 15 games -- so hopefully Kohler likes a good challenge.
