Trezevant dropped their record down to 12-7-1 on Thursday, which also ended the team's eight-game streak of wins. They lost 18-0 to the Lakeland Preparatory Lions. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, the Bears' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

As for Lakeland Preparatory, they pushed their record up to 21-2 with the win, which was their 14th straight at home. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 11.6 runs.

For Lakeland Preparatory's part, Brett Godwin made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Godwin has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two RBI and one double.

In other batting news, Lakeland Preparatory got a massive performance out of Ryan Pitts, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Levi Lindsey was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI.
