Basketball Recap: Northwood's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Toledo Christian, Northwood was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 62-61 photo finish over the Emmanuel Christian Warriors. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Rangers as it put an end to their ten-game losing streak.

Northwood's win was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-7 and their overall record up to 2-16. As for Emmanuel Christian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record this season.

Northwood and Emmanuel Christian could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings. Northwood will square off against Ottawa Hills at 7:30 p.m. on February 7th down 489 places (808 vs. 319). Northwood is no doubt hoping to put an end to a seven-game streak of away losses. Similarly, Emmanuel Christian (ranked 468th) will meet Central Catholic (ranked 40th) at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday.
