Soccer Game Preview: Powhatan vs. Cosby

Powhatan is 1-7-1 against Cosby since February of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Indians will challenge the Titans at 7:30 p.m.

Powhatan is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 2-1 heartbreaker at the hands of Monacan. The matchup was a 1-1 toss-up at halftime, but Powhatan couldn't quite close it out.

Meanwhile, Cosby put another one in the bag on Thursday to keep their undefeated season alive. They never let Huguenot get on the board and left with a 6-0 victory. The contest marked Cosby's most dominant win of the season so far.

Cosby's victory bumped their record up to 5-0-1. As for Powhatan, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

Powhatan suffered a grim 7-0 defeat to Cosby in their previous meeting back in April of 2024. Can the Indians avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
