Baseball Recap: Deep Run Finds Home Field Redemption Against King William

There's no place like home for Deep Run, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the King William Cavaliers a 3-0 shutout on Thursday. This was a revenge game for the Wildcats: when they faced off against the Cavaliers last Wednesday, they had to take a 5-0 defeat.

The result came thanks to Parker Noonan's shutout, as he gave up just four hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Henry Jennings was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Aiden Bradshaw also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Deep Run pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games. As for King William, the loss snapped their winning streak at nine games and leaves them with a 11-4 record.

Deep Run didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Godwin on the 16th. As for King William, they have also already played their next game, a 1-0 victory against King & Queen Central on the 17th.
