Recap: Istrouma Indians vs. Episcopal Knights
The Istrouma Indians scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They had just enough and edged Episcopal out 93-91. The victory was just what Istrouma needed coming off of a 73-44 defeat in their prior contest.
It was another big night for Eryn Brown, who scored 64 points along with seven rebounds. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which she has scored at least 25% of Istrouma's points. A'tiona Augustus was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
Istrouma now has a winning record of 9-8. As for Episcopal, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-9 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Istrouma will take on Capitol at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Capitol has now lost seven straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since November 30. As for Episcopal, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Ascension Catholic at 6:00 p.m.
