Football Recap: Troy Takes a Loss

Troy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They took a 12-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Villa Park Spartans.

Troy's loss dropped their record down to 0-11. As for Villa Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-7 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Troy is set to square off against their familiar foe El Modena at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Villa Park will take on rival El Toro at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Spartans 8.1, the Chargers 11.4) so any points scored will be well earned.
