Baseball Game Preview: James F. Byrnes Rebels vs. Dorman Cavaliers

For the second straight game, James F. Byrnes will face off against Dorman. The Rebels will head out on the road to challenge the Cavaliers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.

James F. Byrnes had taken Dorman down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Wednesday. The Rebels fell 6-2 to the Cavaliers.

Hayden Lister was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed five innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Those two hits allowed gave him a new career-low.

On the hitting side, Harrison Keels made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI. Another player making a difference was Connor Crenshaw, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

Dorman pushed their record up to 12-3 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.4 runs over those games. As for James F. Byrnes, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-7.
