Softball Recap: Port Huron Northern Beats New Haven for Their Fifth Straight Win

Port Huron Northern won the last time they faced New Haven and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Huskies blew past the Rockets 16-1. The result was nothing new for the Huskies, who have now won five contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

The victory (which was Port Huron Northern's fifth in a row) raised their record to 6-1-1. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.8 runs on average over those games. As for New Haven, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-8.

Coming up, Port Huron Northern will welcome L'Anse Creuse at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for New Haven, they are taking a road trip to take on Marine City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Mariners will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Rockets surely won't give up without a fight.
