Volleyball Recap: Dayton Picks Up Fifth Straight Win at Home

Dayton barely beat Incline the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Dust Devils put the hurt on the Highlanders with a sharp 3-0 victory on Friday. The Dust Devils have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Highlanders, too.

While Dayton won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-23, 25-21.

When it comes to explaining why Incline lost, don't look at TAYLOR FINNE. Despite the final result, she had 12 digs, two aces, and one block. FINNE is crushing it when it comes to digs: she's had at least 12 every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was LILI MORRISON, who had 12 digs and two aces.

Dayton's win was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-5. As for Incline, they now have a losing record of 4-5.

Dayton and Incline will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Dust Devils will challenge rival Churchill County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Incline is set to face off against their familiar foe Sparks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
