Basketball Game Preview: McLouth Bulldogs vs. Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles

The McLouth Bulldogs are taking a road trip to face off against the Maranatha Christian Academy Eagles on Saturday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

McLouth will bounce into Saturday's contest after beating Pleasant Ridge, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. McLouth snuck past Pleasant Ridge with a 47-43 win on Thursday. The Bulldogs' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Meanwhile, Maranatha Christian Academy didn't have too much trouble with Bishop Ward on Thursday as they won 54-37.

Maranatha Christian Academy's record is now 2-5. As for McLouth, with the victory, they broke their four-game losing streak and moved their record to 2-7.

McLouth skirted past Maranatha Christian Academy 37-35 when the teams last played back in January of 2022. The rematch might be a little tougher for McLouth since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
