Floyd Central made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Trinity, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Highlanders fell just short of the Shamrocks by a score of 7-5 on Wednesday. The Highlanders' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Floyd Central now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Trinity, their victory was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 20-3.
