Volleyball Recap: Loretto Takes a Loss

If Loretto was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Mt. Pleasant on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Mustangs fell 2-0 to the St. Mary's Episcopal Turkeys on Friday.

Mallory Corbin paced Loretto's offense, picking up five kills. Corbin got some help from Ella Potts and her eight assists.

Loretto has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-19 record this season. As for St. Mary's Episcopal, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-6.

Loretto has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 win against Hillsboro on the 19th. As for St. Mary's Episcopal, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Greeneville on the 19th.
