 Germantown Academy was the  7-3 winner over Conwell-Egan Catholic when they last played one another  back in March of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. The Germantown Academy Patriots took  a  5-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Conwell-Egan Catholic Eagles on Monday. Germantown Academy has now  taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
 For Conwell-Egan Catholic's part, they got a great performance from  Kyle Tuthill as he  struck out eight batters over  six innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   six  hits (and not a single walk). Tuthill has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  pitched less than five  innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, Conwell-Egan Catholic's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Chase Forester, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-1.  Scott Ray was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-2.
 Germantown Academy's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won eight of their last ten matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record  this season.
 Germantown Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against St. Joseph's Prep at 7:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Conwell-Egan Catholic, they will head out on the road to  take on  Father Judge at 4:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Father Judge comes in on six and Conwell-Egan Catholic on four.
