Basketball Recap: Washington Township Senators vs. Kouts Mustangs & Fillies
The Washington Township Senators's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight loss. They fell 59-50 to Kouts. If Washington Township was looking for revenge after losing 60-47 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.
When it comes to explaining why Washington Township lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jaxson Garzella. Despite the final result, he scored 25 points along with two steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Armstrong, who scored six points along with eight rebounds.
Washington Township dropped their record down to 6-5 with that loss, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Kouts, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 6-7 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Washington Township will take on the Hawks at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hebron is coming into the game hot, having won their last ten games. As for Kouts, they have the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome the Fighting Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on February 1st. Lake Station Edison is coming into the matchup on a six-game losing streak.
