The Niceville Eagles will take on the Crestview Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Niceville is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.

Last Thursday, Niceville came up short against Chiles and fell 8-5. The Eagles haven't had much luck with the Timberwolves recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Jackson Marquardt made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted two doubles, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.

Meanwhile, Crestview fought the good fight in their extra-innings matchup against West Florida on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Jaguars. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Crestview saw seven different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kameron McCord, who scored a run while going 2-for-3. Will Lyle also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Crestview's defeat dropped their record down to 3-11. As for Niceville, their loss dropped their record down to 14-3.

Crestview's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Niceville hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .314. It's a different story for Crestview, though, as they've only averaged .196. Will they be able to contain Niceville's hitters?

Niceville came out on top in a nail-biter against Crestview in their previous meeting back in February, sneaking past 4-3. Does Niceville have another victory up their sleeve, or will Crestview turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
