Pace proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by five) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Weslaco East Wildcats, sneaking past 2-1. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Pace were the better team in the second half.

Pace's win bumped their record up to 4-10. As for Weslaco East, they dropped their record down to 6-7-1 with the defeat, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Pace will square off against rival Harlingen South at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Weslaco East is set to take on their familiar foe Mercedes at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
