Softball Game Preview: Stevenson Bulldogs vs. Columbia Bruins

Stevenson is 0-10 against Columbia since April of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Bulldogs will host the Bruins at 5:00 p.m. Stevenson has given up an average of 7.9 runs per game this season, but Tuesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Stevenson is headed into Tuesday's match looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Friday. They came up short against La Center, falling 14-4.

Stevenson saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Sophia Nordgaard, who went 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one double.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Thursday Columbia sidestepped La Center for a 9-7 victory.

Columbia's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Stevenson, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Stevenson couldn't quite get it done against Columbia in their previous meeting back in April of 2024 as they fell 10-7. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
