Basketball Recap: Severna Park Comes Up Short

After soaring to 61 points the game before, Severna Park was a bit more limited in their match on Friday. They took a 29-21 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Broadneck Bruins. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Bruins recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Macie Mcnece was her usual excellent self, putting up 14 points and five steals for Broadneck. With that strong performance, Mcnece is now averaging an impressive 2.2 steals per game. Another player making a difference was London Best, who posted eight points and five boards.

Severna Park's loss dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Broadneck, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season.

Severna Park wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 34-20 win against Crofton on the 4th. As for Broadneck, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 48-35 victory against Queen Anne's County on the 3rd.
