Soccer Game Preview: Tumwater vs. Ridgefield

The Tumwater Thunderbirds will face off against the Ridgefield Spudders at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday. Tumwater will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.

If Tumwater beats Ridgefield with two goals on Saturday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Thunderbirds had just enough and edged out WF West 2-1 on Thursday.

Sophie Boatright and Brielle Clark scored both of Tumwater's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 15 goals.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Ridgefield made sure to put some goals up on the board against Mark Morris on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Monarchs with a sharp 6-1 victory.

Tumwater's win bumped their record up to 9-3-2. As for Ridgefield, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-2.

Tumwater might still be hurting after the 3-0 defeat they got from Ridgefield in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Thunderbirds avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
