Daniel found their leader in sophomore Kareem Shaw, who rushed for 147 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.6 yards per carry. The dominant performance gave Shaw a new career-high in rushing yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Grayson Clary, who threw for 158 yards and two touchdowns.
Richland Northeast's defeat dropped their record down to 8-4. As for Daniel, their victory was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-1.
