After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Nitro, Winfield was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They walked away with a 47-40 win over the Ripley Vikings. This was a revenge game for the Generals: when they faced off against the Vikings back in January, they had to take a 52-50 loss.

Ripley's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Matthew Stellato, who posted 12 points and five assists, and Kyler Doss, who earned 12 points. Doss is also on a roll when it comes to field goal percentage, as he's posted one of at least 45% in the last four games he's played. Blake Justice was another key player, putting up eight points.

Winfield has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 9-5 record this season. As for Ripley, their loss dropped their record down to 11-4.

The future could be bright for both Winfield and Ripley: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. Winfield will look to extend Point Pleasant's three-game losing streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ripley will try to hand Grafton their 12th-straight defeat when the two meet at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday.
