Baseball Recap: Andover Comes Up Short

Andover lost against Maize back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Trojans fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The match marked the Trojans' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

This is the second loss in a row for Andover and nudges their season record down to 8-7. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only one runs. As for Maize, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-3.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Eagles beat Andover by a score of 7-0 later that day.
