Baseball Recap: Mount Sinai Takes a Loss

Mount Sinai lost against Kings Park last Tuesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Mustangs fell just short of the Kingsmen by a score of 2-1. The Mustangs just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Mount Sinai got a good showing from Collin Morgan, who didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Shawn Flannery was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Pj Tubianosa, who went 1-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Mount Sinai's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Kings Park, their win was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-2.

While Mount Sinai had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
