Softball Recap: St. Mary's Academy Belles vs. Lennox Academy Panthers
St. Mary's Academy fell victim to Lennox Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They suffered a rough 16-0 loss at the hands of the Lennox Academy Panthers. St. Mary's Academy just can't catch a break and has now endured three defeats in a row.
For Lennox Academy's part, Liliana Vallejo and Valeria Lopez were a major factor no matter where they played. On the mound, Vallejo tossed an inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Lopez struck out seven batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). At bat, Vallejo scored three runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Lopez scored a run while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
