Football Game Preview: Santa Rosa Academy Rangers vs. Riverside Prep Silver Knights

For the first time this season, Santa Rosa Academy will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will look to defend their home field on Thursday against the Riverside Prep Silver Knights at 7:00 p.m. Santa Rosa Academy's defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so Riverside Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Last Friday, Santa Rosa Academy didn't have too much trouble with San Bernardino as they won 28-9. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Rangers.

Jacob Goode looked great while leading his team to the win, rushing for 113 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. Tyler Quaintance got in on the action too, returning a kick for a touchdown.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Riverside Prep, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They walked away with an 18-8 victory over The Webb Schools on Friday. The Silver Knights haven't had any issues with the Gauls recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Santa Rosa Academy's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Riverside Prep, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Everything came up roses for Santa Rosa Academy against Riverside Prep when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as the squad secured a 45-12 victory. In that game, the Rangers amassed a halftime lead of 33-6, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Thursday.
