Bountiful is 9-1 against Bonneville since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The RedHawks will head out on the road to challenge the Lakers at 3:00 p.m. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bountiful took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over Clearfield.

Jackson Kyhl spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on seven hits.

At the plate, Mickey Willis was excellent, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Bonneville hadn't done well against Viewmont recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Lakers skirted past the Vikings 3-1. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Lakers as it put an end to their five-game losing streak.

Bonneville also let their pitcher toss all seven innings and he was also dialed-in: Hudson Taylor gave up only one earned run on three hits and racked up seven Ks. Taylor has become a key player for the Lakers: the team is undefeated when he allows at most one earned run, but 5-11 otherwise.

On the hitting side, Bonneville saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaygen Noble, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Noble has posted since back in March.

Bountiful is on a roll lately: they've won six of their last eight contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 9-10 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. As for Bonneville, their record is now 8-11.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Friday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bountiful has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Bonneville struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 3.7 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.

Bountiful came up short against Bonneville when the teams last played back in April of 2024, falling 7-4. Can the RedHawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
