League recap: Williams races to league-leading run for Burbank

Burbank's James Williams recorded the longest rushing play in Pacific this season in his game against Inglewood last week. Williams ran for 79 yards on the play and finished with 96 on the day as his team defeated the Sentinels.

Hoover was the team that made the biggest jump in the rankings, moving from seventh to fourth in the league.

Ryan Meredith threw for 184 yards and 2 touchdowns. He was 8-19 with 0 interception.

Daniel Jung was the most successful running back in the league this week. In 19 carries, he ran for 115 yards as Glendale defeated South Pasadena. Teammate Luis Ruiz added to the ground attack by rushing for 101 yards.

Loudermill was the best wideout in Pacific this week as the Nitros beat the Tigers. Loudermill racked up 5 receptions for 73 yards.

Meredith put up the best numbers through the air as Burbank beat Inglewood. Meredith's favorite target this week was Williams, who caught 3 passes for 69 yards.

6-foot-2 quarterback Brian Gadsby of Crescenta Valley is the league leader in passing yards this season with 744. He has also thrown 13 touchdowns. The leading receiver in the league this season is Williams. The Burbank star has 9 catches for 173 yards.

As it stands, the Tornadoes are in fourth, while Muir is in third.

Glendale moved up to 704 from 816 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in the league. John Tuttle's team was able to move up by besting South Pasadena 23-7.
