Freeman and Fillmore Central are an even 3-3 against one another since February of 2018, but not for long. The Falcons will square off against the Panthers on Friday.

Freeman managed to slip by Sutton the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Falcons came up short against the Mustangs on Saturday, falling 64-40. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 33-13.

Fillmore Central hadn't beaten Fairbury on the road since December 7, 2019 but that history sure didn't bother them on Saturday. The Panthers walked away with a 44-35 win over the Jeffs.

Fillmore Central's win came from a few key players Freeman will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Ali Nichols, who posted eight points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Adalyn Stutzman, who put up nine points along with five boards and three steals.

Freeman's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Fillmore Central, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Freeman strolled past Fillmore Central when the teams last played back in December of 2024 by a score of 52-38. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Falcons since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
