Volleyball Recap: Independence Comes Up Short

Independence was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Brecksville-Broadview Heights Bees. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 3-0 to the Bees when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

While Independence ultimately came up short, they really made Brecksville-Broadview Heights work, particularly in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 26-24, 25-15.

Independence's loss dropped their record down to 0-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Independence will square off against St. Vincent-St. Mary at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Brecksville-Broadview Heights will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Hudson at 6:00 p.m. on April 4th.
