Baseball Recap: Sun Valley Comes Up Short

Sun Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Great Valley Patriots, falling 9-2. The Vanguards were not able to make up for their defeat to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Sun Valley got a good showing from Logan Coleman, who pitched three innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits. Coleman has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than one earned run any time he's pitched this season.

Sun Valley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Great Valley, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Sun Valley will take on rival Bishop Shanahan at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Great Valley is set to square off against their familiar foe Coatesville at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
