Liberty faced Sierra Vista in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Patriots won by a set and slipped past the Mountain Lions 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Patriots sure are getting used to it with their sixth in a row.

Liberty's victory bumped their record up to 9-3. As for Sierra Vista, they moved to 9-7 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Coming up, Liberty will head out on the road to face off against Coronado at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The game will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Sierra Vista, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Cimarron-Memorial on the 30th.
