Tri-Valley - East recap October 8, 2013

Frankenmuth added to the longest winning streak in Tri-Valley - East this week by beating Millington, 21-6. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Eagles.

Garber took down Caro 62-0 last week, the largest margin of any game. Noah Bargouthy ran for 172 yards in the win.

The Dukes' offense was unstoppable this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Logan Martin threw for 79 and 1 touchdown and C.j. Glaza had 48 yards receiving. On the ground Bargouthy chipped in 172 yards. Adrian Ducre helped Garber's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 15 yards.

Nate Weingartz was a key player and the best on defense this week as North Branch beat Bridgeport. He pulled down 1 interception.

Bargouthy provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Garber bested the Tigers. Bargouthy's favorite target this week was Glaza, who caught 2 passes for 48 yards.

Glaza was the best receiver in the league this week as Jake Coquillard's team defeated Caro. Ducre helped Garber's passing attack out by catching 1 ball for 15 yards.

Garber's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Dukes feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Martin has thrown for 644 yards and 6 touchdowns this season, while Glaza has 19 catches for 345 yards.

An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Birch Run takes on the Broncos. The Panthers are in sixth place, while North Branch is in first place.

Frankenmuth made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 4,657 from 5,139. The advance stemmed from a 21-6 victory over the Cardinals last week.
