Basketball Game Preview: Muncy Indians vs. Milton Black Panthers

The Muncy Indians will be taking part in a tournament against the Milton Black Panthers at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Muncy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Muncy and South Williamsport, and Muncy kept the tradition alive. The Indians secured a 49-45 W over the Mountaineers on Tuesday.

Dominic Guardini continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double with 19 points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 8.2 rebounds per game. Jaxton Frantz was another key player, putting up 11 points and three steals.

Meanwhile, Milton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 52-40 to Bloomsburg.

Muncy's win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1. Those home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.9 points over those games. As for Milton, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.
