2A Conference 14 recap October 8, 2013
North Pitt added to the longest winning streak in 2A Conference 14 this week by beating Northside, 43-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Southwest Edgecombe took down East Carteret 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Beddingfield's KAVAJAE ELLIS and JAVIUS NIXON led the league in both passing and receiving yards. 6-0 quarterback ELLIS has thrown for 1,042 yards this season, while NIXON has 19 catches for 447 yards. Washington's Markel Spencer leads the league in rushing yards with 881.
The Pam-Pack are in third place, while Farmville Central is in first place.
Washington and Kinston played the most contested game in the league this week, with Washington eventually emerging with a 26-21 victory. Spencer ran for 223 yards during the win.
