Basketball Recap: Lamar Comes Up Short

Lamar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a hard 58-40 fall against the Hartsville Red Foxes. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Silver Foxes this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 58-47 last Monday.

Lamar's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Hartsville, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lamar won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Riverwalk Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Lamar is facing Riverwalk Academy at the right time seeing as Riverwalk Academy is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Hartsville, they will venture away from home to face off against Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Wilson's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last nine matches.
