Basketball Recap: Hugoton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Ulysses last Tuesday, Hugoton came back down to earth. The Hugoton Eagles were dealt a 59-32 loss at the hands of the Colby Eagles on Friday. While losing is never fun, Hugoton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 129th, while Colby is ranked 11th).

Hugoton now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Colby, their victory was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Hugoton will head out to face off against Hooker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colby, they will square off against Goodland at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
