Ascent Classical Academy had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They came out on top against the Thomas MacLaren School Highlanders by a score of 3-1 on Saturday. The victory was nothing new for the Guardians as they're now sitting on 17 straight.

Madeline McCarthy paced Ascent Classical Academy's offense, picking up 12 kills. McCarthy got some help from Ayla Cowdrey and her 16 assists. McCarthy was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Ascent Classical Academy's win bumped their record up to 22-2. As for Thomas MacLaren School, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-10.

Ascent Classical Academy has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 loss against Sedgwick County on the 8th. Thomas MacLaren School does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
