Evanston fell victim to Carmel and their airtight defense on Wednesday. They had to suffer through a 38-0 loss at the hands of the Corsairs. The Wildkits' defeat signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Evanston's loss dropped their record down to 10-2. As for Carmel, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Evanston and Carmel should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. The Wildkits will square off against Deerfield at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (8 vs. 112). Meanwhile, Carmel (ranked first) will meet Rosary (ranked 103rd) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
