Basketball Recap: Golder Comes Up Short

Golder was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were six points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 23-17 heartbreaker at the hands of the Cristo Rey Jesuit Cristeros. The Panthers lost against the Cristeros in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 50-19 score last time.

Golder's loss dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Cristo Rey Jesuit, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 3-10 record.

Golder has already played their next contest (against Baker), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Cristo Rey Jesuit will venture away from home to take on Varsity Opponent at 10:30 a.m. on January 25th.
