Friday just wasn't the day for Cross Keys's offense. They took a blow against the Flint River Academy Wildcats on Friday, falling 48-0. The Phoenix have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Cross Keys' loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Flint River Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Cross Keys will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Creekside Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on October 3. As for Flint River Academy, they will be playing at home against King's Ridge Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers' defense has only allowed 14.2 points per game this season, so the Wildcats' offense will have their work cut out for them.
