Basketball Game Preview: Atlee Raiders vs. Henrico Warriors

Atlee has won six straight games at home (dating back to last season), while Henrico has won six straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Atlee Raiders will welcome the Henrico Warriors at 7:30 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, both will really light up the scoreboard.

Atlee will bounce into Tuesday's matchup after beating Hanover, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Atlee strolled past Hanover with points to spare on Friday, taking the game 59-44. Given the Raiders' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while the Hawks are ranked 150th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Henrico's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They took a 77-73 hit to the loss column at the hands of Highland Springs.

Atlee's win bumped their record up to 10-1. As for Henrico, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4.

Everything came up roses for Atlee against Henrico when the teams last played back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 77-39 victory. Will Atlee repeat their success, or does Henrico have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
