Brearley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Dayton Bulldogs, falling 67-36. One positive for the Bears, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.
Lucas Antonio was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 20 points and 12 rebounds for Dayton. Antonio has been hot recently, having posted nine or more boards the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Luke Sherman, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 14 rebounds.
Brearley's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Dayton, with the victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 4-5.
Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Governor Livingston the next time they take the court. Dayton will head out to face Governor Livingston at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while Brearley will head out to face them at 4:00 p.m. on January 23rd.
