Chaminade (St. Louis) is sitting with his feet up somewhere enjoying what has to be the most memorable week of his life.
A quick recap:
- Won a gold medal in Greece at the FIBA U19 World Championship with USA Basketball. Averaged over 14 points per game as one of four current high school players on the roster.
- Traveled directly to North Augusta, S.C., for the EYBL Finals at the Peach Jam — arguably the most competitive tournament in American youth basketball. Averaged 24.1 points and 7.8 rebounds per game while leading the St. Louis Eagles to a 7-1 record and appearance in the tournament final.
- Committed to Duke live on ESPNU.
Tatum, a 6-foot-8, 195-pound wing, improved to No. 3 in the
247Sports Composite for the Class of 2016. He earned
MaxPreps National Junior of the Year honors following the 2014-15 season.
